Corning maintains a large sports complex. There, you will find the Victory Lake Golf Course, M.B. Ainley Jr. Community Center, and even a pier for fishing at Victory Lake. The Olympic size swimming pool, and tennis courts are also a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the community. In addition, Wynn Park has picnic tables, a stage, and more. It is the site of many festivities throughout the year and is a lovely place to watch the flowers bloom in the spring and the leaves fall in autumn. The town also has sports teams, a civic center and much, much more. It is the ideal type of town for people who love a small, tight knit community and can’t get enough of simple, small town life.
For example, each Christmas the town holds Christmas in the Park at Wynn Park. It has been going on for almost 20 years and is the highlight of the year for this community. They have a huge celebration with a tree lighting, pictures with Santa, musical performances and more. In addition to the festival itself, they have a Christmas decorating competition and other fun events and festivities all throughout the holiday season. Be sure to wear your hat, coat and gloves before heading out to brave the winter weather with the family!
