About Dexter, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Dexter is a small Missouri town that is everything that you would expect of a family-oriented Midwestern community.  Located on what is known as Crowley’s Ridge, Dexter is home to 8,000 residents.  There is a slower pace in this part of the world that makes for a kid-friendly environment. In short, it is a great place to grow up.  In addition, kids are able to experience the joy of the changing seasons as there is tons of sun in the spring and summer and plenty of snow in the winter.  It’s truly a magical, simple part of our nation that is sometimes forgotten, but holds a great deal of our culture and history.

In town, you will find historic gems like the Veteran Memorial and Cemetery. There, you will find 150 markers of soldiers who died during the Civil War. Each of the many markers features an account of the circumstances surrounding that particular soldier’s death.  It is really quite special. If military history is an interest of yours then you may also want to check out the Stars and Stripes Museum.  It features artifacts and exhibits from the Civil War as well as more recent wars.  The cemetery would be a great activity for a warm spring or summer day while the indoor museum would be a good choice when the winter chill hits.

History buffs will be more than entertained in Dexter.  Those who are fascinated by transportation history will love The Heritage Caboose.  It located in Downtown Dexter and is maintained by The Depot/Museum. It is closed to the public without an appointment but can be viewed from the outside at any time and there is also an observation deck attached to the north side of the structure.
